چکیده

We discuss quasistatic evolution processes for capacitary measures and shapes in order to model debonding membranes. Minimizing movements as well as rate independent processes are investigated and some models are described together with a series of open problems.

On the Quasistatic Limit of Dynamic Evolutions for a Peeling Test in Dimension One

The aim of this paper is to study the quasistatic limit of a one-dimensional model of dynamic debonding. We start from a dynamic problem that strongly couples the wave equation in a time-dependent domain with Griffith's criterion for the evolution of the domain. Passing to the limit as inertia tends to zero, we find that the limit evolution satisfies a stability condition; however, the activati...

Shape flows for spectral optimization problems

We consider a general formulation of gradient flow evolution for problems whose natural framework is the one of metric spaces. The applications we deal with are concerned with the evolution of capacitary measures with respect to the γ-convergence dissipation distance and with the evolution of domains in spectral optimization problems. Quasistatic Evolution Problems for Linearly Elastic - Perfectly Plastic Materials

The problem of quasistatic evolution in small strain associative elastoplasticity is studied in the framework of the variational theory for rate-independent processes. Existence of solutions is proved through the use of incremental variational problems in spaces of functions with bounded deformation. This provides a new approximation result for the solutions of the quasistatic evolution problem...
